Hi, welcome to my about page! I'm Moosh, the webmaster of this site. The Mycelia Network allows me to travel to far and distant lands, though here on this "Earth" I reside in the pit of fire commonly known as the North American deep south.
My original spawnpoint is located within the Appalachian Piedmont forests.
Why "Mooshpuppii"? Moosh is a silly nickname for mushroom and puppii is because puppydogs.

my evil webdev origin story
My first memory of poking around in HTML was as a kid in the late 2000s computer labs at school when I figured out how to use the Inspect tool. I'd "hack" into the websites and start messing around with the text and stuff for fun. Later on around 2013, I joined Tumblr and started going more into depth with it with customizing my website with templates I found while browsing. It wasn't until a couple years ago I tried my hand at writing code from scratch and actually putting in effort to learn for real!
I made this website in September 2024 because I wanted to have a place for my portfolio and was also curious about web development. Everything I've learned has been self-taught from resources online and visiting lots of websites on the indie web. Since starting with a simple free to use template, I've had a lot of fun learning new things and improving my website on my own. My goal is to get to a point where I can comfortably explain how it works to someone new so I can help other people create their own websites!
