Resources for the tired artist

I've been hoarding links to websites and tutorials in my Discord server for years so I decided to put them here too! If you have links to any resources you think would go well here send me a message on BlueSky or Discord! Or email me at the following address: mail@mooshpuppii.com

This list does not and will not ever include sources that use generative-AI. If a source is found to have used gen-AI, it will be removed.

Coloring/Color Theory

Tutorials
Loish's Digital Art School - I feel like if you've been on the art side of the internet for any amount of time, you've seen Loish's work. I found out recently she has a collection of resources online too! She has a Patreon and tutorials available for a one-time purchase as well.
Nouconcept - (*Only for logged-in Bluesky users) Not a specific tutorial, but frequently posts and streams color theory on their accounts. Mostly in español/spanish but sometimes in english too.

Palettes
Web Colors - (Source: Wikipedia) Colors defined by HTML with names and hex numbers. Not super necesary but still interesting for artists and webdevs.
Traditional colors of Japan - (Source: Wikipedia)

Fonts/Lettering

BLAMBOT - Free + P2U fonts for comics! Also has a ton of other resources for comic artists.

CSP Materials

Clip Studio Paint - For new folks, Clip Studio Paint is a drawing program for computer, tablet and phone. I've been using CSP since it was called Manga Studio (Version 5) and I can't recommend it enough. Has monthly and lifetime licenses, a community-run material store, great built-in functions and brushes.
CSP Assets Store - Materials you can get for free or buy using CSP currency (Gold or Clippy). CSP sometimes gives away Clippy for free if you check-in every day during a certain period, so keep an eye out for those!

Pencils
Cheese Pencil Pack by milkat-sprout - Fav pencil pack. 2-in-1 Cheese Pencil is my go-to for sketching.
DAUB Pencils - (Free, not on CSP store) Set of 12 brushes that are good for drafting/sketching
Textures
Watercolor Paper Texture by milkat-sprout - Hot and Cold Press Watercolor paper textures. Adds a nice traditional feel to your art.
